Ajay Goyal is a seasoned technology and business leader with over three decades of experience working with top-tier organisations across the USA and India. As the Founder and CEO of PilaniLabs, he brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, C-suite leadership experience, and strategic business acumen to help business leaders navigate the AI revolution.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate of the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani) — the inspiration behind the PilaniLabs name — and an MBA (Finance) from Pune University, Ajay's career spans IT Strategy, AI, Digital Transformation, ERP, Data Analytics, and enterprise programme delivery across five continents.
Prior to founding PilaniLabs, Ajay served as Global CIO / Vice President of Information Technology at Zydus Lifesciences, one of India's largest pharmaceutical groups, where he managed the full spectrum of IT functions including IT Strategy, Operations, AI adoption, and enterprise applications across global markets.
In the USA, Ajay worked with Deloitte Consulting and Tyco Electronics on leading global SAP and enterprise transformation projects, and was part of a successful B2B e-commerce start-up in Silicon Valley — giving him first-hand experience of technology-driven business model innovation at scale.
Today, through PilaniLabs, Ajay leverages this extensive experience to guide the world's business leaders through the strategic dimensions of AI — from understanding the landscape and building a board-ready AI strategy, to leading organisational transformation and unlocking measurable business growth.
